History milestones
Year 1660
We are born.
Bruzaholms Bruk began operations in 1660, harnessing local water, forest, and ore. Despite challenges over the centuries, resilient owners rebuilt and evolved, mastering excellence through smart use of limited resources.
Year 1660
Forging – where it all started.
In 1660, sheriff Nils Pädhersson was granted permission to start a forging workshop, which quickly grew to include a blast furnace, bar iron hammer, and tilt hammer, becoming a center for forging.
Year 1830
The foundry era begins.
Around 1800, as Swedish forging declined, mill owner CMA Sjögreen began foundry operations. Bruzaholm’s quality products quickly earned a strong reputation during this transformative time of successes and setbacks.
Year 1880
Pumps and patents.
By the late 19th century, pump manufacturing took off under J.O. Lundberg, who produced 175 models—including the famous 'Väduren'—and patented the widely used O-ring in 1896.
Year 1931
Radiators.
In 1931, C.A. Alm acquired Bruzaholms Bruk, with his sons managing the factory until 1988. Radiator and heating production flourished in the 1930s but ceased in 1969 following a workshop fire in 1965.
Year 1950
Today's operations are shaped.
Wear- and heat-resistant casting began in the 1950s, with exports by 1960. Since 1991, the factory has been owned by the privately held Cellwood Group, known for strong local ties and long-term commitment.
